Jane's Current Favorite

Fig
232 Meeting Street, 843.805.8900

"This unpretentious restaurant at the corner of Meeting and Hasell Streets currently gets my vote for one of the best restaurants in town. As a matter of fact, the James Beard Foundation agrees with me; the chef has just won an award for being one of the best new chefs in the Southeast. There are a lot of light and refreshing dishes, but here I revert to favorites such as steak tartare (the best I've had) and sweetbreads (ditto). One can only trust the best of chefs with these classics."
